The most valuable collections of the Slovak Mining Museum are the part of Jozef Kollár Art Gallery collection fund. The fine – art gallery was open to public in 1992. The Gallery is situated in the three burgher’s houses, directly in the historical centre of the town. There is a number of valuable works of art from the region connected with mining. These mining motives make the pictures rare in whole Europe. There are the works of Banska Štiavnica’s artists from 20th century in the other part of exposition. Pictures by Jozef Kollár and Edmund Gwerk attract visitors from the world.
Bratislava City Gallery (GMB) is the second largest gallery in Slovakia in terms of the significance and extent of the collections. It has operated in the field of fine art and culture since 1961. The Gallery presents a first-rate brand that guarantees the high professional level.
