
In 1923 the first regular airline of the Czechoslovak Airlines from Prague to Bratislava was started. A biplane AERO A-14 called "Brandenburg" with one passenger on board, flown by Karl Brabenec, had landed at the airport at Vajnory. The Vajnory airport offered flights to the Adriatic Sea, to Vienna, Cluj and Bucharest.

The National Information System of the public line passenger transport timetables is an information system containing data on transport connections. The company INPROP, s.r.o. (Ltd) is collecting timetables of bus, railway, air and municipal public transport. Timetables are supplied by carriers operating particular lines.

Air Slovakia is the oldest airline operating in Slovakia with an unbroken record of operations from 1993 till now.
